Café IFAL is a brand new virtual discussion forum where Action Learning practitioners can share their experiences of using Action Learning in real situations. Whether you wish to present a piece of work you’ve delivered – the struggles and successes - or simply contribute to the debate, join us at Café IFAL.
The format of this virtual event includes a brief presentation of a particular piece of Action Learning practice, followed by open discussion where we share related experience and create opportunities to learn with and from each other.
Sessions last 90 minutes and take place on the Zoom platform.
Numbers are limited to 15 people. Costs are £10 for members and £20 for non-members. All fees go towards hosting further events.
This session will be presented by Janie Wilson. Janie is the co founder and Principal Consultant of the Action Learning Centre www.actionlearningcentre.com an ILM accredited provider of strategic and transformational action learning services and Can Do it Now, www.candoitnow.co.uk a coaching and leadership development consultancy. She is a co founder and convenor of Action Learning for Facilitators - a professional development group of that meets 4 times a year in London for CPD.
Janie is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), a facilitator, trainer and mentor with over 30 years of independent consultancy experience across all sectors. She had a varied career before becoming self employed which included an HIV social worker, a policy and sex education officer with Save the Children, Operational Director for the domestic violence charity Refuge and Director of International Programmes for Planned Parenthood. Her consultancy clients come from across sectors including: School for Social Entrepreneurs, Airbus, Shell, Skoda, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Comic Relief, BBC, UNESCO, UNAIDS, Ministry of Justice Khazakstan, Roehampton University, Bradford Management School, NHS, Afrikids.
She is a trained Open Space facilitator, a TMSDI profiler, a Constellations coach, and a Firework Careers coach. She has an MSc in Social Policy and is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has particular interest in systemic thinking with teams, building collective intelligence, leadership skills, agility and resourcefulness through action learning, individual and team coaching, and developing entrepreneurial mindsets.
Janie lives in France in the foothills of the Pyrenees, home to great wine, excellent cheese, fabulous walks, beautiful climate and lots of nature in her 2 acres of garden.
